Portable Microwave Services and Rentals
|
• Economical and secure (point-to-point service typically requires no encryption for sensitive material) • Vast knowledge of New York City venues, especially hotels, public facilities, and government buildings • Point-to-point service or transmission to the Empire State Building or other receive site for connectivity via fiber or for uplinking by an area teleport • Most effective systems for wireless camera operation |
DBS utilizes
the finest, highly portable, broadcast quality microwave
equipment such as Ikegami's PP-70 and I-Link systems.
Applications are numerous, from direct transmission from
a site to the Empire State Building, for point-to-point
service, from high in a building to an uplink truck or newsvan,
or to provide redundant paths for critical events. In combination, two or more systems can provide paths to or from different venues, redundancy, or bidirectional paths. The I-Link system in itself is highly flexible, with two channels or return audio that can carry IFB and PL from a truck to the camera position. When used with RTS or Clearcom 4-wire adapters, full intercom is extended to the camera position simultaneously with the transmission of video and one audio and still leaves a return audio path for IFB or program audio. |
| DBS's services are complete and include cabling, test and measurement equipment for video and audio, frequency coordination, and, whenever necessary, site surveys. DBS complements it microwave services with portable fiber optics to facilitate long cable runs or for use in areas prone to RF pickup by standard cable. | |
